Michelle Huttes
& Blue
Caring for animals has been a part of Michelle's life for as long as she can remember. She began volunteering with Macon County Animal Control & Care Center in 1999 and has provided foster care for dozens of animals over the years. Michelle is past President of the Decatur & Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation and served on the board for 8 years. She currently works as the International Trade Manager for Tate & Lyle and teaches yoga and QiGong in her free time.
Cody Moore
& Daisy
Cody grew up in Moweaqua and is a lifelong resident of Central Illinois. He's been a farm kid, teacher and coach, and has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement. Cody has always had pets, from beagles and bird dogs with his father, to labrador retrievers and multibreed dogs as an adult. His current best friend is Daisy, who was rescued from a very dire situation. When he met Daisy as a foster puppy, there was an instant connection and the two have been together ever since. Their bond has raised the question: "Who rescued who?” Still waiting on the answer, but it appears to be mutual.
Bobbi Donath
& Willie
Bobbi Donath has lived in Decatur for 26 years and has been married to her husband, Ed, for 26 years. They have 2 daughters. Bobbi works at Archer Daniels Midland Company as a Director of Master Data. She has always been active in the community on various boards and organizations. Bobbi's family has always had a dog or two in their home, and they currently have one rescue dog. They also have a horse, and while Bobbi doesn't ride, both of her daughters do! She is excited to be a part of the Happy Acres board!
Celeste Huttes
& Bindi Furwin
Celeste is a freelance writer specializing in corporate communications, but she finds it far more fun to write about the profound connection we have with our pets. Celeste comes from a family of animal lovers and rescuers (see Michelle above), and she has found some amazing furry friends at local shelters over the years. She and her BFF Bindi love taking walks and training classes, and you'll often find Bindi running with the big dogs at the dog park. Nothing touches Celeste's heart like animals do, and she is proud to be part of the Happy Acres team!
